News 2010
We have lots of exciting new pictures on our website through the 'About Us' section with pictures of properties we have worked on around the world: 'extracts from our client list'.
Silk rugs in minimalist designs have been created for a Mansion in fashionable Belgravia in London.
A special rug was created for a special launch party for Beefeater's Gin new 24 brand in Madrid, carefully following the logo and hand stitching effect.
A series of rugs were produced for a luxury block of offices in different shapes and sizes.
Following on from new products launched last year, we start 2010 with our new website finally completed, although it is constantly changing as we are continually adding new images.
We start the year with current projects in Hawaii, New Zealand, The Middle East, Moscow, Switzerland, and Italy, as well as ones in London and throughout the U.K..
We supplied some beautiful, fine silk Persian carpets for an apartment in London, with some individual rugs fetching as much as £40,000.00 and these were sold competitively and selected from London for Russian clients.
We broke new ground with Sunseeker on one of their larger 30m yachts and creating hand made carpets with borders: one around the bed in the Master bedroom suite and another in the Saloon in front of the seating area, with a textured design in the centre panel. These we made and fitted in seven weeks!
We are using blends of silk and wool to create more competitive carpets with the luxury of silk and are now working with bamboo yarn which has a 'silky' appearance.
Hand knotted carpets were created and supplied for the entrance and study areas at the beautiful Castle Hill in Devon and look extremely handsome.
We look forward to working with you in the new decade.
With best wishes
John Stockwell

We have now put 'Photographs of some of our Bespoke Carpets' as a new section and uploaded a number of great room shots - a number of which are modern in feel.
We have just created a carpet based on elements of the famous ceiling in the Vatican by Michaelangelo: a huge quantitiy of colour shades were involved in this.
New contracts include the exciting new 'Apsleys' restaurant at the Lanesborough Hotel.
We have made the artwork pages more accessible, and added to them, to show a 'glimpse' of our substantial design archive.
Craigie Stockwell are in 'Vogue'
We closed 2007 and thus started 2008, with a specific mention in 'Vogue' magazine's December issue on the what is 'in' and what is 'unfashionable' and we are pleased to say that 'Vogue' find our carpets very much 'in', with a picture of a beautiful carpet we created for Chatsworth House.
In March we saw a full page feature on John Stockwell 'bespoke carpetmaker' as a specialist profile in their insider news column with illustrations of our more colourful modern ideas for carpets and rugs.
Before the year end we saw the completion of a further two Superyachts: M/Y Wind, fitted out in Italy at the famous Bennetti yard, and which was shown at Monaco and M/Y Montigne for a fast refit in Nice Old Port, for her new owner. We are currently working on five new yachts.
2007 also saw projects for some classic mansions and palaces around the world including one for Cairo, another in Jeddah, some in Moscow and St Petersburg, a special project in Salt Lake City and a number of exciting carpets for old customers around the world.
We wish all our existing, past and future customers all the very best for 2008 and we are continuing our policy of striving towards helping the ecology of the planet by using abundant and managed natural materials in all our carpets and rugs.
